The Kiev Open Championship takes place in the middle of a park, in the "AKKO International Exhibition Centre". Here are some impressions from our first competition in the Ukraine.

In Bucharest, the reality slaps you in the face pretty hard. The majority of the buildings is damaged and cries for reconstruction. The image above does not show the entrance to our accommodation but it is pretty close. We were not staying in a particularly rich part of the town but if you go to the centre, the impression will not be much different. On the other hand, everything costs peanuts here - the cheapest taxi ride will cost you 25 Euro Cents per kilometer. 

If you want to dance an international competition and you don't want to spend a fortune, Romania is the right place for you. We drove 800 to Sibiu (and back). Is it worth it?

The sun is shining, the beach and the refreshing see is highly seducing, the holiday feeling could not be more perfect. It's 35°C out there. Still, a few insane beings put on their tail suits, long dresses and get ready to sweat on the floor. Welcome to Kavala!

A hot pre-summer weekend in Szeged. If you still feel up to it at this point, Szeged is the right place to pimp up your bikini body before the holidays.

You simply do not want to miss the probably most amusing masters of ceremonies in the history of dancing competitions. A very nice and well organized competition.

After a lot of rounds and a very short night in Bucharest, the next stop for Vasek and me was Ljubljana. In order to arrive in time, we flew back to Vienna where we took this cute little plane to Ljubljana. We then used our personal shuttle (sometimes called "mum") which brought us from the airport to the hall. Sometimes you just feel like doing crazy stuff, right?

You could argue about whether Bucharest is a city worth visiting. Well, from the financial poit of view it certainly is. And if you are one of those adrenaline freaks, just hop in a romanian taxi...

This year we spent Easter in Berlin once again where (in spite of the dance ban on Good Friday in Germany) the traditional competition "Blaues Band der Spree" took place.

Hearing all the makeup and styling terms, one can easily get lost: tinted day cream, BB cream, foundation, makeup base, concealer, powder etc. Plus, of course, the question comes to mind how to use all of them correctly. After years of experience I have found my way through the makeup jungle and found my own order.

Finally! My first video is ready. All too often can you see ladies with simple hair pins at a competition, or even worse with loose, flying hair. Hairspray still belongs to the world of myths and fairy tales for some. You are not just about to have a shower. You are going to a dancing floor, taking part in an artistic sport. That's why you should be styled accordingly. Never forget - a good impression is a part of the success! Judging criteria or not, you will always get a few beauty points. Have a look at how to make a competition hairstyle for women with shoulder-length hair. It looks complicated but it's really quite simply done.

In the past, I often struggled with the problem of dark eye shadow falling on my cheeks. When I tried to wipe it away, it left dark stains under my eyes which made me look like a panda bear. It is really tedious to get rid of these stains and replace them with more make-up afterwards. I even tried to incline my head facing the floor in order to avoid the eye shadow falling on my cheeks but it is very difficult to make yourself up in this way. There is, however, a very easy solution.
